Praying for the Rain launch their new Cd, Civilized World, (their 10th album) with a concert performance at the Union Chapel, London on Saturday May 22nd, 2010.
One of the most dynamic & compelling bands performing today, their unique style of "Ethno-folk" combines contemporary acoustic music with an eclectic mix of world sounds, instruments and rhythms, together with beautifully crafted harmonies and emotive lead vocals. Their music brings
to mind a modern blend of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Fleet Foxes and Peter Gabriel creating
a truly uplifting & high energy experience.
Internationally recognized, they have travelled throughout Europe, Canada, Africa, and the Middle East and have performed at festivals such as Glastonbury, Frome Festival, Womad, Trowbridge Pump, Stainsby and at London's South bank as part of a world music series presented by the National Theatre.
